Elope in Canmore

Elope in Canmore

Canmore is a fabulous gateway to the Rocky Mountains. We love to use two gorgeous spots for our Canmore Elopement Packages, which have several different guest number options. The beauty of Canmore is that accommodations are generally more affordable than in Banff, plus you can rent AirBnBs (which you can’t do in Banff).

We use three locations in Canmore for our elopements.

Rundleview Parkette

  • up to 100 guests
  • Fabulous because it’s more private than Quarry Lake, as well as being more sheltered from the winds that Southern Alberta gets.
  • Perfect for guests with mobility issues
  • Rented ceremony space that is just for your use
  • Option to rent chairs, arch, decor, etc, for this location
  • $3500

Quarry Lake Hill

  • up to 100 guests
  • Stunning views overlooking a small lake
  • Rented ceremony space that is just for your use
  • Option to rent chairs, arch, decor, etc, for this location
  • $3500

Quarry Lake Trees

  • up to 18 guests
  • Stunning views in a beautiful tree-lined area with the mountains as your backdrop
  • Standing only ceremony with (no arch, chairs allowed)
  • $2300

Canmore’s bonus is that it’s a little less busy than Banff but still has a beautiful mountain vibe.

Your package includes your Alberta marriage commissioner, your shotgun wedding photographer, your onsite coordinator, and the licenses and permits required to have an elopement in Canmore. Approximately 15 minutes of your package will be your ceremony, with the remaining 45 minutes for photos of the two of you (and your guests if you wish).

RUNDLEVIEW PARKETTE

$3500

For up to 100 people

Rundleview Parkette in Canmore is the perfect space for an outdoor wedding ceremony and photos. We have added this spectacular location to our stable for 2024 and beyond. It has the same great mountain views as Quarry Lake, but is more private and has some shelter from the wind that Southern Alberta is known for. It is surrounded by trees and is the perfect spot for your romantic wedding.

Situated inside the Town of Canmore, Rundleview Parkette is the perfect choice if you and your guests want to take advantage of the incredible selection of AirBnbs in the area (something that you can’t find in Banff), mouth-watering restaurants and a wide array of shopping.

Choosing Rundleview Parkette for your wedding ceremony also means looking after any guests with mobility issues. There is next to no walking involved and it’s perfect for the elderly.

The beauty of Rundleview Parkette is that you can also have an entire ceremony set up if you wish. You can rent chairs and decor and have a seated ceremony, unlike the other mountain locations. The cost of renting chairs, an arch, or any decor is extra. You can also have a standing and simple ceremony without any rentals.

The cost includes everything in our standard elopement package, plus the insurance, rental of Rundleview Parkette for two hours, and a coordinator on-site for your two-hour package.

Approximately 15 minutes of your package will be spent photographing your ceremony with the remaining 45 minutes for photos with your guests and the two of you.

QUARRY LAKE HILL

$3500

For up to 100 people

Love Quarry Lake but want more than 20 guests or be able to rent chairs and decor for your ceremony? This is the package for you.

The beauty of this package is that you are also able to have a full ceremony set up if you wish. You can rent chairs and decor (as pictured) and have a seated ceremony, unlike the other Canmore locations. The cost of renting chairs, an arch, or any decor is extra. You can also have a standing and simple ceremony as well, without any rentals.

If you are looking at this package for July and August, you will need to hire transportation for your guests or take the free shuttle bus that operates throughout the town. The parking lot fills up quickly during these months and the Town of Canmore requires us to let them know the plan for transport before the wedding. Parking spaces are very difficult to find in July and August.

Your package includes your Alberta marriage commissioner, our photographer, and the licenses/permits to be at Quarry Lake. Approximately 10 minutes of your package will be photographing your ceremony with the remaining 50 minutes for photos of the two of you and any guest group photos you may want.

We will purchase wedding liability insurance on your behalf for this package as well.

There is a parking cost per vehicle at Quarry Lake is this is the responsibility of you and your guests.

FAQS

• How many people can we bring? Are kids included in the count?

At the Quarry Lake Tree Location, you can have up to 20 people with the standard elopement package ($2300), up to 75 people at the Quarry Lake Hill location ($3500) and up to 100 people at the Rundleview Parkette spot ($3500)

The couple, children, and wedding party are included in these numbers.

• Can we serve alcohol and food?

No. Although we do allow for fun champagne pops for photos with the couple.

• Are there parking costs?

Yes. There is a parking fee per vehicle at Quarry Lake, which is your responsibility and your guests.

Parking Rates:

Peak season is May 11 – October 11 ($20 per vehicle)
Off-peak season is October 12 – April 30 ($10 per vehicle)

Our Rundleview Parkette ceremony includes 10 parking passes for you and your guests to park right at the ceremony. Vehicles beyond that can park at Quarry Lake (a 5-minute walk) or take a shuttle or hired transport.

• Is decor included?

For the standard elopement packages at Quarry Lake Trees, you are not able to have decor like chairs or an arch.

You are welcome to rent chairs, an arch, decor, etc., for the larger, private $3500 Quarry Lake Hill and Rundleview Parkette package. We recommend a few companies that offer delivery and pickup options, making it easy for you. We have a partnership with a local rental company that gives a 10-20% discount on all rentals.

• What is the option for rain?

If it rains, we photograph in the rain 🙂 Canmore elopements can go ahead rain or shine, outdoors. We bring at least three clear umbrellas with us at all times for the couple and the officiant to use, ensuring that photos will be cohesive and gorgeous in the rain, if it happens.

• Why is insurance needed for the larger Quarry Hill and Rundleview Parkette package?

The Town of Canmore requires proof of wedding liability insurance to have your wedding at Quarry Lake or Rundleview Parkette. We pay for and provide this to the Town on your behalf.

• Can we bring dogs?

Yes. As long as they are on a leash the entire time. Bonus points if they are dressed fancy 🙂

• Can we go to multiple locations for photos?

Because our photography packages are one hour long, we must stay at the location where your ceremony is being held. We want to ensure you get as many incredible photos as possible, and driving to another location will consume valuable photography time. Trust us, both places are amazing, and you will love the images you receive.
