Banff Elopement Packages

Banff is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. We host most of our elopements in the Banff National Park.

Lake Minnewanka is stunning and is a combination of big, bold mountains in your face, shimmering blue waters, and a lush, green forest. This is our favourite spot. You can have up to a 20-person elopement in this location. The cost here is $2300 for Lake Minnewanka.

Elope Banff

LAKE MINNEWANKA

$2300

For up to 20 people

This stunning Banff location is where we host most of our elopements. Overlooking Lake Minnewanka with the majestic Rocky Mountains as your backdrop, it will take your breath away as you marry your love. Your elopement here will be outside, with nature surrounding you. It’s the perfect mix of water, mountains, and evergreen trees. Bring up to 18 guests with you to celebrate as you say your vows.

If it rains, we photograph in the rain 🙂 Banff elopements go ahead rain or shine in the outdoors.

These are standing-only ceremonies as we are in a National Park and cannot reserve spots or set up decor or ceremony chairs (lawn chairs are fine though). Want to see some photos of the ceremony spot and portraits? Click here.

Your package includes your Alberta marriage commissioner, our photographer, and the licenses/permits to be in the Banff National Park. Approximately 10 minutes of your package will be photographing your ceremony with the remaining 50 minutes for photos of the two of you and any guest group photos you may want.

FAQS

• How many people can we bring? Are kids included in the count?

At Lake Minnewanka you can have up to 20 people. This is a National Park rule for guest numbers and kids are included in this count. We often are asked if more people can attend, but the maximum is 20.

• Can we serve alcohol?

No. Although we do allow for fun champagne pops for photos with the couple.

• Do you have recommendations for accommodation?

Absolutely! Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any hotel in Banff or Canmore! let us know if you would like recommendations.

• Can we go to multiple locations for photos?

Because our photography packages are an hour-long, we have to stay at the spot your ceremony is being held. We want to make sure you get as many incredible photos as we can take, and driving to another location will eat up photography time. Trust us, both locations are amazing and you will love the images you receive.

• Banff National Park Pass

Everyone who enters a National Park in Canada must pay for a park pass. Banff National Park is the same. The entrance to the National Park is just after you pass the town of Canmore and you and your guests are responsible for this cost. You can purchase in advance online, or at the gates when you enter Banff National Park. Prices range from $10.50/adult to $21/family.

• What is the option for rain?

We guarantee at least three clear umbrellas for the couple and the officiant to use. This way the photos look cohesive and amazing. Weddings go ahead rain or shine. There is not an indoor option for this location.

• What dates are available?

Year-round.

• Can we bring dogs?

Yes. As long as they are on a leash the entire time.

• Is decor included?

At Lake Minnewanka, we use nature as our backdrop and our ceremonies are standing only. Because they are short and simple, it makes sense to focus on the vows and the incredible views the area has to offer.
