Experience tradition and exceptional mountain views at your Star 6 Ranch wedding. Shotgun Wedding’s newest Canmore location for elopements and affordable small weddings will fulfill your desire for an outdoor space (with an indoor backup option) that is just minutes outside of Canmore and available year-round. With two packages to choose from, you can have a small two-hour wedding or a more extensive five-hour experience that includes a reception and drinks on top of your ceremony and photos. Food and alcohol are not included in the package prices, but can be added on. There is also accomodation available onsite to rent.
Two Hour Package $3800
- Up to 50 people
- Includes outdoor ceremony location (with an indoor backup on location for poor weather)
- Alberta Marriage Officiant
- One hour of photography (ceremony, group photos and portraits of the couple)
- Event insurance
- Two Shotgun Wedding onsite coordinators for two hours
- Set up and take down/clean up after your event
- Ceremony chair, arch and decor setup (if couple is bringing them)
- PA system and microphone
- Speaker for ceremony music
- Signing table
- Venue insurance
- Onsite accomodation available to rent
Five Hour Package $6800
- Up to 50 people
- Includes everything in the Two Hour Package plus:
- The ability to have an onsite reception/cocktails, etc
- You are able to rent chairs, tables, etc to host a reception after your ceremony
- Food and alcohol are able to be served. Food must be catered by a licensed caterer. You cannot bring in your own food (with the exception of a cake/candy bar).
- ALGC liquor license (alcohol MUST be served by a ProServe bartender)
FAQ
You can serve alcohol with you have the 5-hour package. The smaller 2- hour wedding isn’t enough time to set up a bartending area to have a bartender serve. The Star 6 Ranch is an AGLC licensed venue; therefore, all bookings are required to use a ProServe licenced bartender. Please note that AGLC regulations do not allow any homemade alcoholic products to be served. Couple must bring their own alcohol if they are serving it.
Shotgun Wedding has a list of recommended catering companies for all our clients. Once you book your date, we are able to help you source your caterer and bartender. Or, you can google caterers in the Canmore and Calgary area if you would like to find your own.
You are only able to serve food if you have the 5-hour package. The smaller 2-hour package isn’t enough time to have a caterer set up and serve.
Shotgun Wedding has arches and arch florals available for rent. We have a partnership with Mountain Event Rentals for a 10% discount for all Shotgun Wedding clients for tables, chairs, and other decor. You can bring your own decor, have none at all or rent it and have it delivered and set up for you.
