In 2008, Chantelle and Evan met at Portage College in Lac La Biche. He, attending school on a hockey scholarship and she, in nursing. Evan noticed Chantelle first, telling his roommate that he just saw his future wife walk by his townhouse. He was shy and it took a couple of weeks to approach her, for what was a short conversation. They eventually talked more, had some dates, and knew that they were meant for each other. Life is a journey and there were good times and challenging ones, but they always came back to each other. This time, for good.
